Job Description :
Inpatient Psychiatrist needed near College Park, PA to start as soon as credentialed.
- Dates Needed: Ongoing need. Blocks are typically Friday evening to the following Friday evening.
- Work Schedule: 7on/7off Friday 5pm to next Friday 5pm. - Morning huddle at 8am onsite, then complete consult (usually done between 3p-5p)
- Call Schedule: On-call Friday 5pm to next Friday 5pm. Takes emergency calls on a rotating basis on evenings, weekends, and holidays. They batch overnight calls when possible.
- Patient Volume: Average of 5 consults on medical floor.
- Patient Population: Ages 18years to Geriatrics. Diverse patient population due to University.
- Admissions: Approximately 1-2 per day
- Staffing Mix: Liaison Nurse Team, 2 RNs, Psychiatric Counselor on day & evening, 3 LCSWs. Hospitalists may tap on psych for guidance.
- EMR: Meditech Expanse. Have Dragon
- Certification/License Requirements: BC/BE within 18 months of residency. Active PA License.
- Credentialing: Approximately 30days
- $500 referral bonus received for any referral who works 30 days.
