Job Description :
Locum Gastroenterologist needed near Belleville, IL starting as soon as credentialed.
- Start Date: 1/6/25
- Contract Length: 3 months, ongoing
- Shift Details: 7 on 7 off (can look at consistent Part-time but minimum of 7 days/month)
- Schedule: rotation of days, evenings and weekends. 7a-7p with night call for urgent cases
- Department Description: the providers will be covering 2 locations that are 12 minutes from each other. The volumes are based on total census between both facilities.
- Patients per day: 14 but can vary
- Patient Population/Age: Adult
- Required Procedures: Esophageal Dilatation, Small Bowel Biopsy, Lower GI Endoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube

Required Types of Upper GI Endoscopy: with Biopsy, with Foreign Body Removal, with Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery), with Banding of Varices, with ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography), Diagnostic, Therapeutic, with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
- Support Staff: APP
- EMR: EPIC/Provation for GI Procedure documentation
- Requirements: Active IL License or IMLC, DEA, BLS, ACLS
- Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
- $500 referral bonus received for any referral who works 30 days.
