Job Description :
Locum Family Practice Physician needed near Vancouver, WA.
- Start Date: As soon as credentialed. Providers should be available to start within 4 weeks.
- Contract Length: 3 months, possibility to extend
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p, 40hrs/week. 8 hour work day with 1 hour unpaid lunch.
- Patients per day: Family Physicians are expected to see up to 18 patients per day. May be less depending on cancellations, etc, but should be comfortable with higher volume and fast paced.
- Patient Population/Age: Newborns-Geriatrics. Provider should be comfortable working with all ages.
- Special Procedures: Basic bread and butter procedures. Injections, IUD placement, minor wound care.
- Department Description: Community Health Center. Providers should have experience in these settings or express interest to work with vulnerable populations. They service migrants and refugees and have interpretative services available on site. Provider is not required to be bilingual, but would be a plus. OP ambulatory services, family medicine, walk-in/acute care services, chronic disease management. They may be caring for same day walk in patients.
- Expected to hit ground running. Will be a 1 week ramp up with onsite orientation but will be expected to begin patient care by day 3.
- Support Staff: Dedicated medical assistant for each provider, receptionist, mental health therapists, dietitians, most clinics have an onsite pediatrician and local health care administrator
- EMR: EPIC
- Spanish or Russian speakers are a plus
- MUST have clean background. No malpractice will be considered.
- MUST have minimum of 2 years experience face to face patient contact within past year.
- Certification Requirements: BC, Active WA License & DEA, ACLS & BLS.
- Credentialing Timeframe: 2-3 weeks
- $500 referral bonus received for any referral who works 30 days.
